What is
Reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-invasive, complimentary therapy
which brings balance to all systems of the body inducing
a sense of calm and well–being.
What happens during a treatment sessions?
At a first consultation a lifestyle and medical history
will be taken followed by a treatment. This lasts a
total of one and a half hours. Subsequent treatments
last one hour. The treatment involves a pressure massage
applied to the feet.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
It is suitable for almost
all adults and children with only a few exceptions. It
can bring relief to a range of acute and chronic
conditions. Depending on the nature of the condition a
course of treatment may be recommended.
Reflexologists do not
diagnose or cure medical problems and reflexology is not
a replacement for treatment prescribed by a Doctor but,
it can compliment such treatment. Where there is an
acute or chronic health problem it can reduce the
severity and frequency of troublesome symptoms.
It is estimated that at
least 75% of all illness is stress related. The sense of
calm and well-being the treatment brings can be very
beneficial in reducing stress levels. In reducing our
stress levels we are helping ourselves to stay healthy
and reducing our vulnerability to illness. |
